Keep your car clean

Wash your Mazda frequently to remove salt, mud and dirt. Genuine Mazda Car Care products will keep your car clean and protected.

 

Check your battery 

Cold mornings and more frequent headlight use can drain your battery.

 

Run your air-conditioning

Sounds odd, but a one-hour burst of you're a/c will remove moisture, allowing your windshield to de-mist better.

 

Inspect your headlights

Ensure the bulbs are working and the headlights are clean and positioned correctly.

 

Check fluid levels

Top up as needed, Don't forget to top up windshield washer reservoir and check your wiper blades while you're at it. Give Mazda's Winter Windshield wash a try.

 

Make sure you have an ice scraper

Invest in an ice scraper and use Mazda De-Icer to clear all windows of snow and ice. Never defrost your windows using hot water as this can cause cracks.

 

Watch for tire wear and tear 

Low thread or unevenly worn tires can be dangerous as the tires will struggle to grip in slippery conditions. A minimum thread of 3mm is recommended. Make sure you inspect your car's spare tire too.

 

Prepare for cold conditions

Be sure to carry a fully charged cell phone, flashlight, first-aid kit, warning lights and a blanket, warm coat, shovel, gloves and hat to keep you warm.
