2019 Mazda CX-5

The Mazda CX-5 is one of the rare compact SUVs in this segment to be considered fun-to-drive and dynamic. Built for young, active families, the Mazda CX-5 has quickly become Mazda’s best-selling model in Canada. For 2019, the new Mazda CX-5 gets some welcome additions and improvements.

A New Turbocharged Engine

The 2019 Mazda CX-5 will feature a wide range of improvements for 2019 as stated previously, but none is more significant than the addition of a brand new 2.5-litre turbocharged engine called SKYACTIV-2.5T. This engine is also found in the new CX-9 and develops 250 horsepower. It makes the new CX-5 one of the most powerful and quickest compact SUVs in its segment.

A New Version

The 2.5-litre turbocharged engine will be offered in the new Mazda CX-5 Signature, a brand new trim that will sit atop the CX-5 lineup.

This new version includes cocoa brown Nappa leather and carefully selected abachi wood trim. The 2019 CX-5 features additional technologies that enhance vehicle comfort, convenience, and safety, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto systems, a 7.0-TFT reconfigurable instrument panel, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, BOSE premium ten-speaker audio system, Active Driving Display windscreen system, and electric fold-down exterior mirrors according to Mazda.

More Equipment Overall

The 2019 Mazda CX-5 has more equipment at every level and not only in the new Signature trim. The 2019 CX-5 gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as G-Vectoring Control, a system that uses the engine’s torque to improve and maintain stability both at low speeds around the city and on the highway.

The CX-5 offers almost 1,000 litres of cargo space and is also available with either a 2.0-litre or a 2.5-litre four-cylinder SKYACTIV-G engine. To learn more about the 2019 Mazda CX-5, contact us today at Metrotown Mazda.
