2022 Mazda Mazda3 vs. 2022 Kia Forte: Outstanding Design and More Excitement

How do you improve a recipient of the World Car Design of the Year and Canadian Car of the Year? The Mazda3 follows a simple formula: just keep meeting the preferences of drivers in the segment.

The 2022 Mazda3 features three engine options, two transmissions, standard connected services, and outstanding available packages that make this compact sedan a Canadian favourite.

We are proud to compare the 2022 Mazda3 to any competitor in its class. Here, we place it alongside the 2022 Kia Forte.

The 2022 Mazda Mazda3 has a better powertrain lineup

The Mazda3's four-trim family offers three powertrains. The GX features a 2.0L four-cylinder that outputs 155 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque. The GT includes a more powerful 2.5L (optional in the GS) that delivers 186 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. When driving exhilaration is your top priority, the 2.5L turbo (optional in the GT) will feed your driving spirit with up to 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. Imagine the response of this engine as you take the Mazda3's compact frame on your favourite summer routes.

The Kia Forte tones down its powertrain options. All trims but one receive a 2.0L four-cylinder that peaks at 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. This output falls below anything the Mazda3 offers. The Forte offers a turbocharged option that generates 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque, but it is only accessible with its top grade.

The 2022 Mazda Mazda3 keeps adding amenities

The Mazda3 is widely known for its style and outstanding amenities, some of which you will not find with the Kia Forte. For example, auto-leveling headlights and auto-dimming mirrors add elements of safety in many conditions, and standard connectivity tech keeps you in touch no matter the situation.

On long trips, the available windshield-projected colour Active Driving Display (ADD) brings information to you, and the Mazda3's driver seat memory ensures you arrive at destinations as refreshed as possible.

This is just the beginning of the Mazda3's unique features. But on top of that, you will quickly notice that the Mazda3 offers a much more refined driving environment with better textures and materials that really stand out compared to the Forte’s more basic cabin.

The Mazda3 has many other advantages over the Kia Forte for you to experience. You can shop for your car online with us. Our representatives are waiting for your call and can answer all your questions.
