Mazda Canada has unveiled the pricing and package details for the 2024 Mazda CX-5, a major player in Mazda’s portfolio and the brand's top-seller in Canada. Scheduled to hit dealerships later this summer, the 2024 CX-5 will have a starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $32,250. Do note, this MSRP does not factor in the $2,095 for freight & PDE, taxes, title, or other additional fees.

The 2024 CX-5 lineup will be available in a diverse eight configurations. Notably, the new Suna Edition is making its debut, flaunting exclusive Zircon Sand Metallic paint, and promises a turbocharged performance for those seeking an edge in their driving experience. Additionally, fans of the Kodo design philosophy that Mazda adheres to will find it further accentuated by the new Zircon Sand Metallic exterior paint, particularly when paired with the Suna Edition.

Every 2024 CX-5 model will come standard with i-ACTIV all-wheel drive, ensuring a reliable drive regardless of conditions. Fuel efficiency hasn’t been forgotten: there’s an improved NRCan estimated combined fuel economy for the 2.5L models, seeing a decrease of 0.5 L/100km.

Mazda has retained all the safety features that won the CX-5 accolades, such as the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) TOP SAFETY PICK in 2023. It was notably the first vehicle to garner a 'Good' rating in the IIHS's enhanced side-impact test. The 2024 model inherits these standards, featuring the likes of Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Smart Brake Support Front, and Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring among others.

A dive into the configurations reveals the CX-5 GX featuring the Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter engine, which has cylinder deactivation, giving out up to 187 horsepower. The 2024 model includes the i-Stop technology and pairs with a six-speed automatic transmission, further optimizing fuel consumption.

As for the technology, all CX-5 models will provide complimentary Mazda Connected Services for two years, giving owners remote control via the MyMazda app. The infotainment gets an upgrade too, with the 10.25" centre display now offering touchscreen capability when connected with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

From the more luxurious CX-5 GT with its 10-speaker Bose Premium Audio System to the sporty Suna Edition with its turbocharged engine, Mazda seems poised to offer a versatile and dynamic range, ensuring that there's a CX-5 for every kind of enthusiast.
