Features and Technologies

The CX-90 is built on Mazda's Large Platform, which provides a stable and comfortable driving experience. All trims are equipped with the i-Activ AWD system, and they come with either the e-Skyactiv G 3.3L Turbo six-cylinder engine or the e-Skyactiv PHEV powertrain.

MHEV Trims

The CX-90 MHEV trims are powered by a 3.3L turbocharged inline-six engine, producing 280 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, aided by a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that boosts fuel efficiency and enhances throttle response. The GS model, starting at $45,900, offers standard features such as a 10.25-inch center display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, heated front seats, and a three-zone climate control system.

Upgrading to the GS-L trim provides additional convenience, like a power rear liftgate with hands-free access, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a power sunroof. The GS-L trim also introduces the option for second-row captain's chairs, allowing for a seven-passenger configuration.

The GT trim further enhances luxury and technology with a 12.3-inch infotainment display, a Bose premium audio system, and a power panoramic moonroof. It also adds advanced driver assistance features, such as front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree view monitor, and Blind Spot Monitoring with Vehicle Exit Warning.

PHEV Trims

The CX-90 PHEV trims offer an electrified driving experience with a 2.5L four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor and a 17.8kWh battery, producing 323 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. The PHEV GS, starting at $54,900, comes with the same standard features as the MHEV GS but adds a fully digital 12.3-inch instrument panel display and an EV mode that allows for up to 42 kilometres of pure electric driving.

The PHEV GS-L and GT trims offer similar upgrades as their MHEV counterparts, including wireless smartphone integration, upgraded upholstery, and advanced driver assistance systems.

Interior and Seating

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 offers seating for up to eight passengers, depending on the trim and configuration. Standard bench seating in the second and third rows is available in the GS and GS-L trims, while the option for captain’s chairs in the second row reduces the seating capacity to seven but improves accessibility and comfort.

The Signature trim, priced at $63,300, offers a luxurious six-passenger configuration with second-row captain's chairs and a two-seat third row. Nappa leather upholstery, wood accents, and advanced safety features such as Emergency Lane Keeping and Head-on Traffic Avoidance Assist come standard.

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 continues to offer a range of trims and features that cater to a variety of drivers. With its combination of power, technology, and safety, the CX-90 remains a competitive choice in the midsize SUV market. Whether you're looking for a fuel-efficient hybrid or a more luxurious ride, the CX-90's lineup ensures there's a model suited to your needs.
