The 2024 Mazda CX-90 will offer two engines, the first being an all-new 3.3L Inline-Six e-Skyactiv Turbo engine. This engine delivers 340 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, making it the most powerful engine ever offered by Mazda. The M-Hybrid Boost mild-hybrid system also helps to improve efficiency without sacrificing performance. With its 8-speed gearbox and electric motor, the M-Hybrid Boost provides smoother accelerations and all-electric efficiency at low speeds.

The other engine in the 2024 Mazda CX-90 is a new plug-in hybrid engine, the first PHEV powertrain offered by Mazda in North America. The new e-Skyactiv PHEV engine delivers an impressive 322 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque when using the recommended premium fuel. The PHEV engine combines Mazda's 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with a tuned intake to improve torque, which has been adapted to work alongside the electric motor and 17.8 kWh high-capacity battery. The 2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV should provide over 60 kilometres of range, although official numbers were not communicated.

The large platform of the 2024 Mazda CX-90 allows for a wider body and fenders as well as a longer wheelbase, accentuating the SUV's strong stance. The sleek body is designed with crafted curves that provide a distinct visual signature on the road. The new, available 21-inch diamond-cut wheels featuring a black metallic finish complement the SUV's powerful presence. The Takuminuri colour, Artisan Red, is being introduced with the CX-90.
