Every new 2021 Mazda receives TOP SAFETY PICK+ designation from the IIHS

Every 2021 Mazda vehicle tested this year received the highest possible safety rating from the IIHS, meaning that Mazda’s vehicles earned the highest safety grade possible in crash tests and safety features evaluation.

In order to receive the IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating, a vehicle must receive the best score in every test including moderate overlap front, driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint tests.

A vehicle’s headlights and accident avoidance features must also receive the highest possible grade.

“With safety a top priority for Mazda, we are proud to have every Mazda vehicle tested earn the coveted 2021 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ award. This accomplishment stems from our commitment to our owners,” said Mazda North American Operations President Jeff Guyton. “Our customers have come to expect Mazda’s dedication to providing advanced safety technologies paired with dynamic styling, which give them a confident and more enjoyable driving experience.”
