How to Get Your Mazda Ready for Your Summer Vacation

With the month of July almost over already, the time for summer vacations is approaching fast. To make sure your Mazda vehicle is ready to hit the road and bring you to all of your vacation destinations this summer, you should bring it in for a service and an inspection.

Doing so will ensure that your Mazda is in top shape and that you won’t have to stop on the way due to a mechanical problem, which can be detected by our technicians and fixed quickly before you leave.

If you prefer to do it yourself, you should remember to check all of your tire pressures in order to have all of them inflated correctly. In addition to being unsafe, under or over-inflated tires wear out much faster and they can cause your vehicle to burn more fuel than normal.

Making sure your tires are not already worn past their prime is also crucial for the safety of everyone on board.

You should also check the battery for obvious signs of leaks or corrosion on the terminals since a bad battery can leave you stranded for several hours until a recovery service can get to you, which is far from ideal at any time and especially not when you are on vacation in an unfamiliar area.

Checking the condition of your brake discs and pads is also advisable since worn-down pads or corroded discs can make the brakes noisy or less effective, which could compromise your family’s safety.

Other items to verify on your Mazda in order to have peace of mind during your holiday include the wiper blades, the operation of the air conditioning system, and the state of the cabin air filter.

In addition to performing all these checks, our parts and service department can install a number of genuine Mazda accessories to make your vehicle more practical and more capable, such as bike racks, roof boxes, or trailer hitches.
