IIHS Awards 2021 Mazda CX-30 the Top Safety Pick+

The 2021 Mazda CX-30 became the seventh model to receive the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ designation, and in the process made Mazda the automaker with the most IIHS TSP+ picks in the industry.

In order to receive the prestigious award, an automaker must pass with the highest grade all six IIHS crash tests as well as receive the highest grade in terms of active safety and headlight effectiveness. The 2021 Mazda CX-30 passed all tests with flying colors.

Mazda vehicles that have received the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ designation include the Mazda3 Hatchback, the Mazda3 Sport, the Mazda6, the Mazda CX-3, the Mazda CX-5, and the Mazda CX-9.

“With safety a top priority for Mazda, we are proud to have the CX-30 earn the 2020 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ award,“ said Mazda North American Operations President Jeff Guyton. “Mazda is committed to providing the most advanced safety technologies in all of our vehicles. We continually strive to challenge ourselves to create products and technologies, that provide our customers a confident and joyful driving experience.“
