The 2021 Mazda3 Turbo breaks open the compact segment

The Mazda3 has become a favourite compact vehicle throughout Canada with its enhanced style, benchmark-setting performance and amenities that create value throughout the model line. Mazda continues to listen to its customers with even better performance and model options for 2021. The Skyactiv-G 2.5 turbocharged engine leads the evolution with a boost in horsepower and torque that is placing the segment on notice.

The 2021 Mazda3 Turbo pulls ahead with precision

The Mazda3 breaks the torque barrier with the Skyactiv-G 2.5 turbocharged engine. With 93 octane, it generates 250 horsepower and a head-turning 320 lb-ft of torque. It still cranks out 310 lb-ft of torque and 227 horsepower on regular unleaded gasoline. This engine is offered on the Mazda3 GT, Mazda3 Sport GT and Mazda3 100th Anniversary Edition. Although aspirated engines are available in the Mazda3 lineup, it will be hard to pass up the capabilities of the Turbo.

The Turbo engine features special calibrations that aim to satisfy passionate drivers. This results in better driving dynamics that add up to the most exhilarating driving experience any Mazda3 offers. The Turbo also refines itself with i-Activ all-wheel drive, expanding possibilities in a variety of road and handling conditions.

The responsiveness of the Mazda3 Turbo is fueled by its outstanding torque performance. When you want the vehicle to tread ahead in the manner you choose, you won’t be waiting long. The GT features standard paddle shifters that add even more customization to your adventure.

The 2021 Mazda3 Turbo series isn’t all engine

Inside, the turbo line includes an extensive list of standard and available amenities that enhance comfort and safety. For example, the GT includes a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats and leather-wrapped shift knob. The Bose 12-speaker audio system maximizes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with sound fidelity seldom captured in any automobile.

Each Mazda3 Turbo includes advanced safety technologies. The GT includes Smart Brake Support, Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning with Lane-Keep Assist and much more. The available Premium Package adds new features such as Traffic Jam Assist, Smart Brake Support Rear with Smart Brake Support Rear Crossing, and 360-degree View Monitor.

Comparing the 2026 Mazda CX-90 MHEV GT and Signature Trims: Is the Upgrade Worth It for Burnaby Families?
