What helps the new Mazda CX-5 stand out among consumers in BC?

The Mazda CX-5 is the brand’s highest selling vehicle in Canada, thanks to its athletic chassis, high-quality interior and of course, its exterior styling. There are few vehicles either in the compact crossover segment or luxury compact crossover segment that look as good as the CX-5 does, thanks to its fantastic wheel choices, five-point grille and low-profile head- and taillights.

The styling, plus a host of other features makes it the perfect vehicle for young, adventurous BC families.

That starts with the engine choices, of which there are two: a 2.5-litre four-cylinder and 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder. The latter engine is good for 250 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque, fed to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode. AWD is standard with any CX-5 (GX, GS, Kuro, GT, GT Sport or Signature), providing a huge dose of confidence that any CX-5 is up to the challenges presented by BC’s mountains roads in dry, wet, or snowy conditions.

Speaking of dry conditions: with its tight chassis set-up and responsive steering rack, it’s hard to have more fun on a dry, winding road in anything in this price range. Mazda has always made cars with the driver in mind, and that theme is made manifest in the CX-5.

While the AWD, chassis and powertrain handle the outside elements, occupants inside the CX-5 are well taken care of with features like heated and cooled front seats, heated rear seats, multi-zone climate control and Bose audio. Add the high-quality materials used throughout the cabin and not only do you have a crossover that drives like something much more expensive, but has the interior to match.

That’s especially the case if you upgrade to the Signature version, which adds luxury features like Nappa leather seating, Abachi woodgrain trim, 10 speaker audio and 360-degree parking monitor.

With the Mazda CX-5, you’re just at home cruising the sunny boulevards of Vancouver as you are making your way to Whistler. Step behind the wheel of a CX-5 and we’re confident you’ll know that this is the vehicle for you!

Comparing the 2026 Mazda CX-90 MHEV GT and Signature Trims: Is the Upgrade Worth It for Burnaby Families?

The 2026 Mazda CX-90 MHEV lineup spans five trim levels, and for buyers who have already narrowed the search to Mazda's flagship three-row crossover, the decision most commonly comes down to two: the GT and the Signature.
